Short Guide For Medical Marijuana Caregivers

Medical marijuana has been legalized in most states of the United States. With the use of an MMJ card, you can get marihuana for your medical needs. But, sometimes with the use of medical marijuana comes the need for a caregiver. In this guide, I'll try to provide information on what caregivers are and how they help patients.

A caregiver has many hats to wear, like:-

1. Cooking for patients

2. Feeding them

3. Helping with transportation

4. Administrating the dosage

5. Assisting with the daily chores

What are the basic criteria to become a medical marijuana caregiver?

1. Registering with the state's health department

2. At least 21 years of age

3. Many caregivers accompany patients to the dispensary and go inside only if required.

4. Not the registered patient's marijuana-certifying physician, which means that the physician who prescribes the medical marijuana cannot assist the patient in getting it.

What are the roles and responsibilities of a caregiver?

1. Any patient can give the caregiver rights to go into a cannabis dispensary and make a purchase on their behalf.

2. A caregiver is permitted from authorized, legal retail operations on behalf of the patients.

3. They may help the patients grow up to a two-month supply of marijuana.

4. A caregiver may administer marijuana to the cardholder in any of its forms.

5. Lastly, just because someone has obtained marijuana caregiver status doesn't mean they can use medical marijuana recreationally in any way.

In the end, remember each state has its own specific medical marijuana laws. Read them carefully before applying to become a medical marijuana caregiver.
